Ken's Stereo Offers Reward for Tips on Burglary

Ken's Stereo on Mercer University Drive in Macon was burglarized early Tuesday morning and the business is offering $500 for tips that help catch the culprits.

Michael Jones, Vice President of Ken's, said the burglars got away about with $4,000 worth of 32-inch flat-screen TVs, game consoles, Blu-Ray DVD players and other items.

"They were only in here about two-and-a-half minutes," said Jones, "and to get away with a tremendous amount of value... it's amazing how much they took."

Surveillance video shows masked men pulling up to the store and loading the trunk of the getaway car full of electronics. A police report says four burglars drove off in a silver or gray Buick Century.

"They knocked out our front glass and came in," said Jones. "It was obvious they had been in here before because of the way they went to specific areas."
