Macon Police say they arrested 79 people during a recent three day crime busting campaign.
They called it Operation Neighborhood Sweep, which happened April-16.
Police arrested people on drug charges, probation violations, child support and many other charges.
Several other agencies were involved including the Department of Corrections, Georgia State Patrol, and Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
Capt. Eric Woodford says they started out searching areas known for crime.
Woodford says, "We started out targeting individual communities throughout the precincts where our known residential burglaries, part one crimes such as entering autos, things of that nature."
He says, "After we went from those known areas, we kind of spread out throughout the city to net anyone who fell in this category."
During the sweep police also issued 245 citations, and served 25 warrants.
