DeSales Boys Win State Cross Country Title

Mount de Sales placed six runners in the Top Ten and overpowered the competition to win the school's second straigtht GISA AAA Boys Cross Country State Title.

The Cavaliers Duncan Siror and Harrison Myers finished one-two for the Cavs who easily defeated Augusta Prep for the team championship.

Siror's winning time was 16:19 with Myers finished just two seconds behind.

Mount de Sales' Brandon Lasater finished fourth, Blake Crowder sixth, Tommy Fitzgerald ninth and Joe Lyghtel came in tenth as the Cavs dominated the event for Coach Jeff Dobias.

Trinity Christian finished fourth and Stratford sixth on the boys side.

Heritage, paced by individual winner Ruthie Powell won the Girls AAA Title with Mount de Sales finishing second.

The Lady Cavs were paced by Caroline Johnson who finished sixth.  Abby Haynes came in eighth and  Betsy Barrett ninth for MDS.

Trinity Christian finished sixth on the girls side.
