Drivin' N Cryin' Stops In Macon For Benefit Concert
News

The band Drivin' N Cryin' rocked the stage at the Cox Capitol Theater Thursday night.

They took part in a benefit concert put on by the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.

The concert benefited two Central Georgia organizations--Music Cares and the Mentors Project of Bibb County.

Ben Jones caught up with lead center Kevn Kinney before the show to see how things have been going since the band's trailer with all of their gear was stolen in Macon in September.

He told Kinney that some people were wondering if the band had any hard feelings toward Macon because of the theft.

"Ya know it was some people coming down from Atlanta to uh, they got a good little racket going stealing trailers and such, you know," Kinney said.  "So... it's happened to Macon.  But Macon's a victim just like we were.  But you know, no one got hurt so it's all good."

Other artists at Thursday night's concert included Abby Owens, Colonel Bruce Hampton, Eddie Kirkland and Angie Aparo.
