Howard High School Students to Perform at Governor's Mansion

The Howard High School Chamber Orchestra has been invited to perform at the Governor’s Mansion on Dec. 9 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. as part of the Mansion’s Holiday Open House.

Each year, the Georgia Music Educator’s Association works with the Governor’s Office to schedule groups for the Open House, and groups can only perform once every three years.

"We are honored to be selected to perform at the Governor's Mansion Holiday Open House,” says Orchestra Director and Fine Arts Chair John Sweat. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our orchestra and a chance to showcase our students; it will be an event they will remember for the rest of their lives."

The Howard High School Band will perform in the Macon Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 3:00 p.m.
