Two Macon Women Charged With Prostitution | News
Two Macon women are charged with prostitution after police ran a sting operation.
A Macon police news release says undercover officers visited 10 sites Tuesday night.
But the release says they were approached for sex at only one location: Second Street and Edgewood Avenue.
Police say they arrested 38-year-old Stacey Walker and 47-year-old Phyllis Little.
Both are still in the Bibb County jail.
Police say Walker has 71 arrests in 18 years and Little has been arrested 33 times in 24 years.
The news release says undercover officers visited these locations Tuesday night, but found no prostitution activity: Second Street & Bright Street; Bright Street & Rosecrest Avenue; Second Street & Edgewood Avenue; 2663 Cherry Avenue; Cherry Avenue & Brentwood Avenue; Bailey Avenue & Napier Avenue; Elm Street & Second Street; Telfair Street & Elm Street; Jackson Street Lane & Elm Street; Telfair Street & Little Richard Penniman Blvd.
The news release noted that "The atypically cold weather may have curtailed activity."
