Macon Music: Besides Daniel and Oh Dorian Saturday at The 567 | Arts & Culture
On Saturday, The 567 Center for Renewal presents Besides Daniel and Oh Dorian in concert with Noel Stephen & the Darlings and Zach Farr.
Atlanta songwriter Besides Daniel is no stranger to Macon. He has played at The 567 several times, as well as at other venues in Macon and Middle Georgia. His music is marked by carefully-crafted melodies and honest, introspective lyrics. His most recent album, This Marvelous Grief, is an exploration of the pains and joys of various relationships in our lives. The songwriter will be accompanied by a full band at this show for a complete live experience.
Middle Georgia songwriter Oh Dorian grew up in Macon, but currently resides in Milledgeville. Her remarkable voice is a crowd favorite, and has brought her back to The 567 several times. Oh Dorian is one of those musicians best enjoyed live, where you can see her quirky personality and dedication to her music really come through. Her talent has taken her from Middle Georgia to listening rooms like Eddie's Attic and opening for bands such as the Indigo Girls and the Modern Skirts. Don't miss her return visit to Macon Saturday night.
Doors open at 7 pm Saturday night, and the music starts at 7:30. Admission is just $5 for all four bands. The 567 is located at 533 Cherry St, Macon. For more information, call 238-6051 or visit http://the567.org.
