Macon Beer Festival, Concerts Downtown This Weekend | Arts & Culture
The beer festival raises money for Pints for Prostates, an organization that works to educate and advocate against prostate cancer.
(Purchase Beer Festival tickets for $20 through Mercer Ticket sales in advance online, or $25 on Saturday) All tickets will be on "will call," available for pickup at 2 p.m. in Third Street Park with ID.
This weekend's schedule:
"Stroll to different downtown Macon locations and sample three beers at each location. Men 40 and over will be offered a free PSA blood test, a $75 dollar value. "
This marks the 6th annual Weaver's Weekend Concert, which started as a gathering of friends to remember a friend who passed. Money raised from the event goes to The Friends of Mike Weaver Foundation, an organization that works to "enhance youth sports in Middle Georgia."
FUTUREBIRDS, Thomas Wynn and The Believers perform. Tickets are $15 in advance/$20 at the door.
Homebrew competition winners will be announced. Doors open at 8.
Then, Freddy's Finest featuring Tommy Talton and Kofi Burbridge take the stage at 9 p.m.
Admission is $5.
