Historic Macon announces Rose Hill Ramble

Historic Macon and friends of Rose Hill will hold a Rose Hill Ramble on October 25 at 2 p.m.

The walk will start at the main entrance to the cemetery and end next to the grace of Macon founder Dr. Ambrose Baber, according to a news release. The walk will last about 90 minutes and $5 admission includes light refreshments. Friends of Rose Hill may attend for free and all proceeds will benefit the friends of Rose Hill cemetery.

The theme for the walk is "Arsenic, Cyanide and Cottonseed Oil in 19th Century Macon." The release says the walk will lead past graces of painters, pharmacists and chemical geniuses.

Phil Comer will lead the ramble.

The tour is free to friends of Rose Hill members and $5 for the public.
