Entrepreneur Keeps Yoga in Downtown Macon | Arts & Culture
Macon, GA -- Pure Balance – Yoga + Wellness will host a Grand Opening at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9 at 505 Second Street. Owner, Dean Baker holds a PhD in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and is an Associate Professor at Georgia College & State University.
“I have never owned a business before so this is a little scary. But I wanted to keep yoga alive in the Macon community so I bought the business,” Baker says, “Yoga is our main focus. I plan to offer prenatal yoga, yoga for cancer survivors and other specialized yoga classes.”
“Yoga is a great element in an overall wellness plan. I am thrilled that we are maintaining the presence of yoga in Downtown,” says Mechel McKinley, Main Street Macon Manager. “With new loft housing on the way it is important that we have these types of services available to Downtown residents and employees.”
Pure Balance – Yoga + Wellness offers yoga classes daily. A full schedule is available at purebalancemacon.com.
