Heritage Hosts Title I Parent Science Night | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Characters)
On Tuesday, February 5, Heritage Elementary School held a Title I Parent Science Night. The event was an opportunity for Heritage parents and students to visit booths with different science-related activities. A few of the activities included looking through microscopes, balancing a ping-pong ball with a hair dryer, and touching a static electricity ball to raise the hair on the student’s heads.
The main attraction, however, was an inflated mobile planetarium supplied by the Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base. The planetarium gave students the chance to learn about stars and constellations. Dean Laskey, with the Museum of Aviation, said that the STARLAB planetarium brings the attraction directly to students who may not have the opportunity to visit the museum.
