Student Artwork Celebrated in Downtown Art Show

In celebration of Youth Art Month, The 567 Center for Renewal is hosting an exhibit featuring student artwork. The Student Art Show will open with a reception during First Friday on March 1 from 6-9 p.m. The 567 Center for Renewal is located at 533 Cherry Street in downtown Macon.

More than 100 art pieces by students throughout the District will remain on display through March 31 as part of the exhibit. All artwork featured in the show was produced by students and aligns with curriculum standards.

The goal of the exhibit is to give students a chance to see their work in a real art gallery and to encourage them to continue to pursue art as a career or hobby.

The Student Art Show is a collaboration between the Bibb County School District, The 567 Center for Renewal, the Georgia Art Education Association, Macon Arts Alliance, and NewTown Macon.
