Jones Hosts Double Feature with Title I Event, Black History Show
Families visited Jones Elementary School on Thursday, February 21, for a double-feature event. The evening began with a Title I event, Jones Common Core Explore II, and was followed up by the school's Black History Program, "Apollo Live, A Black History Tribute."
The Title I Curriculum event featured a focus on Math, Science, and Technology. Dean Laskey, the Regional Coordinator for Georgia Youth Science & Technology Centers (GYSTC) at the Museum of Aviation at Robins Air Force Base, provided more than 15 stations of fun-filled learning activities for all grade levels.
Afterward, the special Black History program featured the Phillips Performing Arts Dance Studio and talented students from Jones Elementary.
