Friday Fest Lineup Features a Mystery


Get ready for First Friday in downtown Macon! In Third St. Park you'll find:  LIVE Music: Mystery Road: 6-9 p.m. as well as inflatables for kids from 5-7 p.m. The band, Mystery Road, was created in early 2010. The various members of the band has also been members of well known Middle Georgia bands, such as Big Willy and The Wing Tips, Wysteria, Twisted Guilt, Long Hot Summer, etc. While the band plays cover versions from influential artists such as The Allman Brothers Band, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn, they are also in the process of writing their own original material. A string of recent shows have seen the band opening up for country music legend Marty Stuart at Smoke On The Water BBQ and Bluegrass Festival and female blues sensation E.G. Kight at Barnesville BBQ and Blues. Another notable gig was at Ronald Palooza 2011, a benefit show for the Ronald McDonald House Children’s Charity of Central Georgia. Mystery Road plays a wide variety of music, but the main focus is rock, blues, and soul music.
