Northeast student finds success at Intel Science Fair | Best Of
Northeast High School rising senior Auriel Wright placed fourth this month at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) in Los Angeles. She won $500 and made many connections with scientists all over the world. Auriel was invited to attend the Intel ISEF after competing in the 2014 Georgia College Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Auriel received first place at the 2014 Georgia College Regional Science and Engineering Fair, which was held January 31 and February 1 at Georgia College & State University.
She also received the Best of Show Award, Best of Class, the Georgia College and State University Award of Distinction, and the Student Award for Geoscience Excellence for her project, “A Comparison of the Effects of Thermotherapy and Electrotherapy on Soybean Plants.” She was named an Intel ISEF finalist at this fair. Auriel also placed second in the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair in Athens on March 27-29 and received the UGA Crop and Soil Sciences Award.
