Robins Federal Employees Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Research

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union employees recently participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, held at North Peach Park in Byron, GA on Saturday, October 18.

Robins Federal Credit Union was an official sponsor of the race, which is held annually to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Community Shreds and Recycles Over 9 Tons of Sensitive Documents

Warner Robins, GA — Central Georgia residents recently shredded 19,000 pounds, or 9.5 tons, of documents containing sensitive material at Robins Federal Credit Union’s popular Shred Day events.

Three Shred Day events were held at Robins Federal Credit Union’s Perry Parkway branch in Perry, Watson Boulevard branch in Warner Robins, and Log Cabin Road branch in Macon.

Shred Day is a semiannual event with a dual purpose - to protect the Middle Georgia community from identity theft and to protect the environment. Members of the community are invited to shred personal information, including financial records, receipts and prescriptions. All shredded documents are then recycled.

Robins Federal Credit Union Recognizes Employees

Warner Robins, GA —Robins Federal Credit Union recently recognized forty-eight employees for their years of service during their Annual Service Awards Banquet. The banquet is held each year to recognize their staff who have reached a 5 year milestone.

This year, eleven employees were recognized for five years of service, twenty-four for ten years of service, nine for fifteen years of service, two for twenty-five years of service, and three for thirty years of service. Finally special recognition was given to Michael Chancellor, Systems Analyst, as he was recognized for thirty-five years of service. Each employee was personally thanked for their commitment to the credit union.

Macon, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently awarded a Microsoft Surface tablet with accessories to Courtney Moore, winner of the September First Friday drawing.

This contest was part of September First Friday, which is hosted by Robins Federal Credit Union and NewTown Macon. Central Georgia residents were invited to visit Robins Federal Credit Union’s Macon branches to register for the tablet.

Robins Federal Credit Union Supports Houston County Teacher of the Year

Warner Robins, GA —Robins Federal recently visited David Perdue Elementary to award a $100 cash prize to the 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year, Kathy Gibbs. Gibbs has been teaching for 18 years and is a fifth grade teacher. She was selected from more than 2,000 teachers in Houston County. She will go on to represent Houston County in the running for Georgia’s Teacher of the Year.
