Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently sponsored the American Cancer Society by contributing $11,500 to Relay for Life.

In addition to this sponsorship, employees from Robins Federal Credit Union will organize various fundraisers at each of their locations.

Robins Federal Credit Union is a local non-profit financial cooperative with nineteen branches in central Georgia. Robins Federal currently provides financial services to over 152,000 members, with assets exceeding $1.8 billion. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the 16 counties Robins Federal serves.

Robins Federal holds "Cartwheels for a Cause" video contest

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently held a contest Cartwheels for a Cause. This contest allowed members to submit video entries highlighting their favorite charity for a chance at winning $5,000 for their charity and $1,000 for themselves.

Robins Federal received a total of 28 video entries representing various organizations in 9 different counties. After the deadline for video entry, all videos were posted to Robins Federal’s website and open to everyone for voting. Robins Federal received over 14,000 votes.

CTAE Students of the Year Honored at Annual Banquet

The Bibb County School District’s Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Department announced the 2014 District CTAE Student of the Year at its third annual CTAE Student of the Year Banquet on Wednesday, March 19, at Southwest High School. During the program, outstanding CTAE students from each high school were recognized, before Westside High School’s Taylor Babbs was announced the district-level winner.

Northeast High School’s Christian Bell received second place among the honorees, and Rutland High School’s Christopher McCarter received third place. Other CTAE Students of the Year included Swanette Johnson, Central High School; Sandra Amadi, Howard High School; Jacob Crafton, Hutchings Career Center; and Crystal Battle, Southwest High School.
