Robins Federal Credit Union Continues Support of Habitat for Humanity

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently made a corporate donation of $1,500 to the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity.

In addition to the corporate donation, a team of 12 Robins Federal Credit Union employees met at a home on Stratford Drive for Habitat’s “Women Build Day.” The team consisted of 11 females and one male from several Robins Federal Credit Union branches and departments.

Robins Federal Credit Union has partnered with the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity since 2008, and employees have frequently donated their time to construct Habitat homes.

Warner Robins, Ga. — Robins Federal Credit Union would like to announce the newest addition to their management team; Blair Edwards, Ft. Valley Branch Manager.

Edwards has 16 years of banking experience and has been with Robins Federal for over 15 years. She began her career with Robins Federal as a Teller and has worked in several branch positions before getting promoted to Branch Manager. Edwards is from Peach County and is excited to be back in her home town.

Macon-Bibb seeking recreation center suggestions

Macon-Bibb seeking recreation center suggestions

Several public forums are being held in Macon for feedback on several recreation center sites.

According to a news release from the Mayor's Office, public feedback on what amenities and activities could be included would help. Through the forums, the project designers can develop preliminary drawings, seek additional feedback then provide a final drawing to the public before presenting it to the Commission, the release states.

Vaughn & Melton have been selected to head those projects, the release says.

Robins Federal Credit Union Redecorates with Rooms from the Heart

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently supported Rooms from the Heart. Eleven employees volunteered their time to redecorate the room of Kylei Chambliss. The volunteers painted, installed a wall mounted TV as well as closet system, and assembled a loft bed with a slide.

Rooms from the Heart is a volunteer organization that redecorates the bedrooms of critically or terminally ill children.

Robins Federal Credit Union Names 2015 MEST Scholarship Recipients

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently presented five high school seniors from Middle Georgia with the Robins Federal Credit Union Most Excellent Senior Team (MEST) Scholarship.

The winners were as follows:

  • Rachel Copeland, Perry High School
  • Caleb Glenn, Veterans High School
  • Lauren Hitchcock, Peach County High School
  • Amber Hughes, Rutland High School
  • Rachel Pope, Mary Persons High School

The winners were chosen based on their GPA, SAT scores, extracurricular and community activities, a written essay and financial need. Each scholarship winner will receive a total of $4,000 ($1,000 per academic year.)

Warner Robins, GA — Each quarter, Robins Federal Credit Union selects three employees that represent the best of the best in three categories – Manager, Support Department Staff and Branch Staff. Employees are selected by management based on their outstanding work performance and written recommendations from their peers. The winners chosen for the first quarter of 2015 are as follows:

LJ Quinn, Base Branch – Quinn is the manager of Robins Federal’s Base branch. She has been employed with Robins Federal Credit Union for eleven years. Quinn has a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Science with a focus in Business Management. She enjoys gardening and spending time with friends and family.

Robins Federal Credit Union Continues to Fight Child Abuse

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently renewed its support of Rainbow House Children’s Resource Center by sponsoring Child Abuse Prevention Month events.

Rainbow House hosts a variety of events during the month of April, National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Events are held to increase community awareness of child abuse and provide prevention education. Robins Federal Credit Union also displayed more than 150 pinwheels at its Watson Boulevard branch.

Robins Federal Credit Union has supported Rainbow House and its fight against child abuse for more than a decade.
