Society of Professional Engineers Discuss Passenger Rail

The Middle Georgia Chapter of the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers, in cooperation with the Mercer University School of Engineering, is celebrating Engineers Week 2011 in the middle Georgia area. 

The Society Engineering Chapter and the Engineering School are sponsoring a luncheon in the President’s Dining Room at the University Center on Mercer's campus. 

The luncheon will be held on Monday, February 21 at noon. 

Mr. Gordon Kenna, Chief Executive Officer of Georgians for Passenger Rail, will speak about the passenger rail in the State of Georgia and the ramifications of the Transportation Investment Act (GA HB 277).  

The Georgians for Passenger Rail is an advocacy group promoting the creation of a passenger rail network for Georgia.  The group is focused on bringing passenger rail service to the Macon-Atlanta corridor.
