Robins Federal Credit Union Helps to Create More Miracles

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal recently presented the Children’s Miracle Network with a $25,000 donation.

Robins Federal hosted Miracle July where several events took place to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network. We launched our Instagram account so for each new follower we donated $1. Employees purchased Children’s Miracle Network shirts and were able to wear them during the month. Also all of our 19 branch locations hosted fundraisers such as bake sales, various raffles, sold icons and even some of our management team took a pie in the face on Miracle Mondays.

We believe it’s important for Robins Federal to maintain a positive image in the community and give back whenever possible. We want to support Children’s Miracle Network to help inspire these kids and give them the strength and support to overcome whatever they may be facing.

Robins Federal Credit Union Provides Scholarship

Warner Robins, GA —Robins Federal recently made a $4,000 donation to Georgia Military College to award a student a one-year scholarship.

Abbygail Campbell was selected as the recipient for this scholarship. She was a 2015 graduate from Warner Robins High School and is pursuing her associates in Biology with further plans to become a doctor.

Robins Federal Credit Union Supports Houston County Teacher of the Year

Warner Robins, GA —Robins Federal recently visited Northside High School to award a $100 cash prize to the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year, Kathrine Branch. Branch has been teaching for 20 years and enjoys sharing her love of literature with her students. She was selected from more than 2,000 teachers in Houston County. She will go on to represent Houston County in the running for Georgia’s Teacher of the Year.

Macon, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently sponsored Bragg Jam with a $1,000 contribution to the Music Festival. This event will take place Friday, July 24th through Saturday, July 25th.

Robins Federal Credit Union Blood Drive Saves Over 80 Lives

Warner Robins, GA — The American Red Cross collected 27 units of blood from Robins Federal Credit Union employees, members, and members of the community at a blood drive held on Thursday, July 16th at Robins Federal Credit Union.

Each unit of blood has the ability to save up to three lives. That means the blood collected at Robins Federal Credit Union’s semiannual blood drive has the potential to save 81 lives.

The need for blood is constant and donors are always needed. To find a donation location, please visit the American Red Cross website.

Robins Federal Credit Union Honors Retiree

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union board member, Harold “Buzz” Sawyer recently received the Moses C. Davis Volunteer of the Year award from the Georgia Credit Union League. This award is presented to someone based on their significant and contemporary contributions to their credit union, involvement with the credit union movement and unselfish devotion to his/her duties as a credit union volunteer.

Sawyer will be retiring this year after 49 years of service. He has served 23 years as Treasurer, 4 years as Chairman, 2 years as Vice Chairman and on several committees throughout the years.

Sawyer’s dedication and strong leadership, as well as his commitment to member education and staff development has helped Robins Federal achieve outstanding growth. He is the type of leader who will inspire those that follow in his footsteps because of the value he placed on making our member’s interests his top priority.
