Robins Federal Credit Union’s 25 Days of Holiday Giving

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union will be giving back during the holidays with their 25 Days of Holiday Giving. They selected 25 different organizations throughout their county radius to provide a monetary donation to help with the organizations holiday festivities. The following organizations received a donation during the first week:

Robins Federal Volunteers with Ronald McDonald

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union recently partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia by making a $4,000 donation to the Ronald McDonald House’s 365 Day Society. A contribution of $1,000 to the 365 Day Society covers the operating cost of the home for one day.

In addition to their monetary donation, Robins Federal staff volunteered to help at the house for two work days. Robins Federal volunteers worked in four different shifts over a two day period. Projects included cleaning the kitchen, organizing, sorting coin collection and assisting with mailings.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia provides support services for families with critically ill or injured children being treated in area medical facilities. In addition to housing, the families are provided meals and an opportunity to connect with other families facing similar difficult situations.

Robins Federal Credit Union Participates in Georgia Gives Day

Macon, GA — In participation with Georgia Gives Day, Robins Federal Credit Union recently contributed to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. Robins Federal made a $1,000 food donation as well as a $1,000 monetary donation.

Robins Federal delivered 50 hams to the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank estimates that for every $1 donated, they can provide 8 meals. With this estimate Robins Federal’s donation will provide 17,000 meals to people in the 24 counties that The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank serves.

“We are proud to support an organization like The Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. We understand that these are difficult times for some and we are happy to be able to give back for those in need in our community,” said Dee Dee Côté, Senior Vice President of Administration for Robins Federal Credit Union.

Robins Federal Credit Union Announces Manager and Employees of the

Warner Robins, GA — Each quarter, Robins Federal Credit Union selects three employees that represent the best of the best in three categories – Manager, Support Department Staff and Branch Staff. Employees are selected by management based on their outstanding work performance and written recommendations from their peers. The winners chosen for the third quarter of 2014 are as follows:


Steve Evans, Indirect Lending – Evans is the manager of Robins Federal’s Indirect Lending department. He has been employed by Robins Federal Credit Union for 15 years. He enjoys reading military history and fantasy as well as collecting music, especially vinyl records.


Robins Federal Credit Union Employees Raise Over $24,000 to

Warner Robins, GA — Each year Robins Federal Credit Union employees are offered the option to participate in a program they call Deduct-A-Buck. Employees commit to donate a minimum of $3.00 per pay period to CUPAC in exchange they get to wear jeans on Fridays and Saturdays. During this year’s campaign Robins Federal staff pledged over $24,156 to CUPAC.

The Deduct-A-Buck program at Robins Federal is completely voluntary. Employees are educated on the importance of supporting Credit Union Political Action and are encouraged to participate. The campaign runs for 2 weeks giving employees the opportunity to sign up or make changes to their current contribution. At the conclusion of the campaign the branches and departments that have 100% participation are entered in to a drawing for free lunch.

In the past 5 years the Robins Federal staff has contributed over $100,000 through the Deduct-A-Buck program.

Robins Federal Employees Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Research

Warner Robins, GA — Robins Federal Credit Union employees recently participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, held at North Peach Park in Byron, GA on Saturday, October 18.

Robins Federal Credit Union was an official sponsor of the race, which is held annually to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Robins Federal Credit Union is a local non-profit financial cooperative with nineteen branches in central Georgia. Robins Federal currently provides financial services to over 157,000 members, with assets exceeding $1.9 billion. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the 16 counties Robins Federal serves.

Community Shreds and Recycles Over 9 Tons of Sensitive Documents

Warner Robins, GA — Central Georgia residents recently shredded 19,000 pounds, or 9.5 tons, of documents containing sensitive material at Robins Federal Credit Union’s popular Shred Day events.

Three Shred Day events were held at Robins Federal Credit Union’s Perry Parkway branch in Perry, Watson Boulevard branch in Warner Robins, and Log Cabin Road branch in Macon.

Shred Day is a semiannual event with a dual purpose - to protect the Middle Georgia community from identity theft and to protect the environment. Members of the community are invited to shred personal information, including financial records, receipts and prescriptions. All shredded documents are then recycled.
