Williams Elementary Student Leaders Collect Over 1,000 Canned Goods

Williams Elementary School Student Council and BETA Club members teamed together to support Middle Georgia’s annual Feed the City Campaign sponsored by New Hope International Church. This year, the student leaders encouraged their classmates to bring in 1,074 canned food items to help the church feed thousands of families in the local community. The annual event was held Saturday, November 24.

At Williams, each classroom competed for the grand prize of an ice cream party. This year the winning class was Amber Fountain’s Pre-Kindergarten class with a donation of 148 cans. Principal Dr. Shandrina Griffin-Stewart thanked the entire student body for a job well done. She reminded the students to always be a blessing by giving.
