4-H Students Compete at Cotton Boll and Consumer Jamboree | Community Spirit
Bibb County 4-H competed at the Cotton Boll and Consumer Jamboree on November 6 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry. 4-H'ers learned the importance of cotton as an agricultural commodity. Junior 4-H'ers demonstrated their knowledge of cotton by creating and presenting a cotton commercial. Senior 4-H'ers presented a cotton Public Service Announcement. 4-H'ers also developed consumer skills in the areas of T-shirts, tablets, sports drinks and savings accounts. Lastly, 4-H'ers learned how to defend their consumer choices by presenting their reasons for ranking goods or services to a judge.
