Macon-Bibb County, the Macon-Bibb County Urban Development Authority (UDA), and design firm HGOR will hold the third and final public meeting for the future design of Rosa Parks Square on Tuesday, March 28, in Commission Chambers in Government Center (700 Poplar Street) at 6:00 p.m. At this forum, HGOR will unveil the proposed design for Rosa Parks Square, and seek final feedback.
“This park sits at the heart of Macon-Bibb’s civic infrastructure and its design is critical to the future improvements of Downtown life,” says UDA Executive Director Alex Morrison. “What we heard from the public throughout this process – and the Macon Action Plan – is the need to maximize the park’s gathering space and to instill a sense of reflection and honor for those memorialized in the park.”
