Learn from the best at the Mulberry Street Market

A tradition that started with the very first market Wednesday continues this week at the Mulberry Street Market.

You wlll be able to learn from the Master Gardeners thanks to a partnerships with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service.

These volunteer green thumbs can help you with a host of issues regarding your present or future garden.

If you ask nicely, they may even give you some tips on how to best prepare your market bounty.

As the seasons change, we will still see some of your market favorites for sale this week-- including tomatoes, melons, dairy, meat, and baked goods.

The Mulberry Street Market takes place Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. in Downtown Macon in front of the Grand Opera House. It is co-sponsored by the City of Macon, Macon Roots, and Community Health Works.

Thanks to the latter, credit, debit, and EBT cards are accepted at the market. A grant from Wholesome Wave of Ga will provide and extra dollar for every EBT dollar swiped at the market ($10 minimum).

Visit the Community Health Works tent in the center of the Market for more information.

It's great to learn, because knowledge is power at the Mulberry Street Market.
