WHAT IS THE VEGGIE VAN?

As the prevalence of obesity and related preventable diseases increase across central Georgia, Community Health Works has started an initiative to combat these preventable diseases by bringing healthy produce and education efforts into underserved and at risk populations across the region.

The Veggie Van is a mobile farmers market that takes fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers in central Georgia and transports them into underserved communities across the region. Along with increasing access in these communities, the Veggie Van also serves as a traveling health education classroom: bringing educational material, cooking demonstrations, and healthy recipes to families across middle Georgia.

WHAT MAKES IT AFFORDABLE?

Community Health Works has partnered with Wholesome Wave Georgia in order to bring a $2 for $1 benefit to EBT users.  This essentially allows all EBT users to double their money when making a Veggie Van purchase. We also accept Visa and Mastercard.
