Carter Elementary Wears Green to Honor Victims of Sandy Hook Shooting
To honor victims of last week's shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., Carter Elementary School students and staff wore Sandy Hook's school colors of green and white on Wednesday, December 19, in lieu of traditional holiday attire for Carter's annual holiday program.
"It’s just a way for our students to participate in a small act of showing that they care for another elementary school that is experiencing a great loss at this time of year," said Carter Elementary School Principal Latricia Reeves.
