Local “Scouting for Food” Program Benefits Macon Rescue Mission
Macon Rescue Mission explains the "Scouting for Food" program.
Boy Scouts of America Troop and Pack #145 recently participated in the national program “Scouting for Food.” They collected non-perishables locally for their community project and donated nearly 100 items to the Macon Rescue Mission. Troop Committee and Advancement Chair, Mrs. Royce Williams (standing, 2nd from the left) presented Development Director, Mary Lee Irby (standing, far left) with the collection. Afterwards, the troop took a tour of the Macon Rescue Mission and learned how their contributions will help feed those in need.
