Ronald McDonald House Charities Announces 4th Annual Pull for the House

How long does it take 15 people to pull a 70,000 pound truck 40 feet? Find out this Saturday at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia’s 4th Annual Pull for the House. Join Ronald McDonald and the GEICO Gecko on Saturday, March 19th  in downtown Macon’s beautiful Cherry Street Plaza – in front of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. The event begins at 10 am with the team pull competition and family activities lasting until 1 pm.

This year’s Pull is co-presented by GEICO and McDonald’s. 20 teams of 15 people each will compete to see who will have the fastest time. Activities in addition to the pull competition include inflatable jumping toys, face painting, music, a petting zoo, children’s games, and other family fun. Food and concessions will be available, so bring the whole family and support your local Ronald McDonald House!

Why is this important? Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill, critically injured or medically fragile children receiving treatment at area medical facilities.  The house offers comfort and care for these families in a nurturing and supportive environment.  Since opening in November 2002, the House has provided a much needed refuge for over 3,000 families from 125 Georgia counties, 28 states, and 7 countries.
