Habitat and Onie Sanders Host Fundraising Party

Habitat and Onie Sanders Host Fundraising Party

Over the weekend, Onie Sanders hosted her 4th Annual Birthday Bash as a fundraiser for Macon Area Habitat for Humanity.  This year's party was held at the Macon Terminal Station and was celebrated in honor of both Onie's 50th birthday and Habitat for Humanity's 25th Anniversary in the Macon Area.

Party guests enjoyed a night full of fun in the name of donating to a good cause.  They also struck up a bit of a dance party, taking part in old favorites like the electric slide (pictured below).

Give Me Christian Liberty Or Give Me Death

My whole life I’ve thought that happiness was only a matter of trying harder. As a Christian, I learned that happiness is seeing God. So I learned the methods and techniques for spiritual growth and ran with them. Inevitably, that happiness was always just one step further. I’d recognize my failure, pull myself up by my spiritual bootstraps and resolve to read the Bible more, share my faith more, pray more, pray more fervently, serve people, serve poorer people, love my friends better, love my family better, love my enemies better (I don’t have any?), eat healthier, exercise more, watch my tongue more closely, and on and on and on. Every so often, I’d take stock of my state, realize that I wasn’t seeing God and feeling happy in the way that I desired.
