Rebuilding Macon, a non-profit organization working to preserve homeownership and neighborhoods, has released a cookbook featuring participating downtown Macon restaurant recipes.
All proceeds from the cookbook sales will support the programs of Rebuilding Macon. The money raised by Let’s Get Cooking will help build wheelchair ramps, replace roofs, and paint homes in Macon and surrounding areas.
According to its website, Rebuilding Macon, Inc. is Macon’s largest nonprofit organization and works to provide rehabilitation services free of charge to those in need. With the help of 2500 volunteers, Rebuilding Macon rehabilitated and repaired 260 homes last year.
The Let’s Get Cooking cookbook project was created by Debra Rollins, Executive Director of Rebuilding Macon.
