North Bibb Publix Accused Robber Arrested | Crime
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office arrested a man and charged him with robbery Wednesday just before noon.
Daniel Koon had been staying at Villager Lodge on Harrison Road, according to a release. He is being held at the sheriff's office without bond.
Officials recovered his SUV at Pet Supermarket on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. after a caller tipped the sheriff's office Monday, according to a release.
According to Lieutenant Sean DeFoe with the Bibb County Sheriff's Department, a man approached the customer service counter at Publix just after 2 p.m. and demanded money.
The man did not show a weapon, but told the clerk he had one.
DeFoe says they believe the suspect is the same man who robbed the Family Dollar store on Emery Highway last week.
The suspect is about 5' 9", 160 pounds.
He was last seen leaving the Publix shopping center towards Northside Drive driving a 2002 Ford Escape, black with gray trim. The driver's side back window is covered in plastic.
