Bibb Deputies Looking for Vehicle in ATM Theft

Deputies are looking for a man and his vehicle after he allegedly stole an ATM.

Around 3:37 a.m., the ATM was taken from Mid-South Federal Credit Union on Bass Road Wednesday morning, according to a news release.

Bibb County deputies saw a male with a baseball cap in a truck with a "large object in the back bed." Deputies lost him during a chase when he turned off his lights in an unlit area of New Forsyth Road.

They say the truck is a 1990s Chevy or GMC model truck and possibly "metallic blue" with "step sides" or "flares."

After the ATM alarm went off, deputies found a fork lift in the credit union's parking lot and saw that the ATM was missing.

If you have any information on this case, you can call the Bibb Sheriff's Office at 478-746-9441.
