Macon Man Accused of Sending Guns to NYC | Crime
A Macon man is accused of supplying illegal weapons to the streets of New York City.
39-year-old Mark Winston, who goes by the nickname of "Koo", packed guns in pie tins and socks and then sent them by express mail.
Winston and another man, New Yorker Walter "Butta" Dandridge illegally sold more than 40 guns over more than a year.
New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly says the two men didn't realize their buyer was an undercover detective.
Winston is awaiting extradition in the Bibb County Jail.
