Cheddar's Waitress Accused of Altering Tips | Crime
After a customer complaint to the Cheddar's restaurant about an unauthorized transaction, a manager allegedly found the culprit after tracking a waitress' receipts for 10 days.
April Johnson has been charged with fiduciary theft and bonded out, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release.
According to the news release, the customer had called the manager to let them know they had been charged $8 without permission on their credit card.
The manager then began to track Johnson's receipts for 10 days. That amounted to 36 receipts that had been altered with unauthorized charges totaling $151.94, the release said.
He then told an off-duty deputy his findings, and the deputy arrested Johnson on the spot and called for an on-duty officer to take her to the Bibb County jail.
