Thursday files:

Date: June 4

Incident type: Simple battery

A woman walked into the store and complained to the owner that she did not receive her gas. The owner offered to print the woman's receipt to show that she did purchase gas. He was not injured and deputies were not able to find the woman who left the store after authorities were called.

Date: June 4

Incident type: Animal cruelty

Location: 5600 Hawkinsville Road

Four emaciated puppies, an adult dog and a dead puppy were found in an abandoned trailer. Neighbors called deputies to report the animals. The responding deputy was told that the dogs had been abandoned for about two weeks. The puppies were about 6 weeks-old and it appeared that they were not given any food or water. The grown dog was inside the trailer, but a resident told the deputy they put it inside of an outdoor kennel and gave it food and water. Animal control was called to the scene and they took all of the dogs. Neighbors told the deputy about the previous occupants of the trailer, gave them a description of their car and told them where they are living now. Authorities are looking for them.
