Police Seek Man in Photo in Macon Killing

Macon police released a surveillance photo of a man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting early Saturday outside a south Macon convenience store.

Police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet said Antonio Bernard Felton, 31 years old, was shot just before 5 a.m. as he drove off after an argument with the gunman at the store at 3609 Pio Nono Ave.

Gaudet says police are looking for the man in the surveillance photo in connection with the case. He had dreadlocks and was wearing a red shirt with horizontal stripes and light blue pants.

Gaudet says the suspected gunman drove off in a burgundy Ford Expedition SUV with another man and two women inside.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Felton drove himself and a passenger to a gas station on Hartley Bridge Road where an ambulance crew pronounced him dead. Jones said Felton was shot in the head.

Jones says Felton's body will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's crime lab for an autopsy on Monday.

Macon police say they're trying to identify the gunman and want to talk to the passengers in the SUV. Anyone with information was asked to call Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
