Man Found Shot to Death at West Macon Diner

Gunfire erupted at the Waffle House at 4731 Chambers Road in west Macon overnight.

Macon police found a man shot in the face in the parking lot.

Christopher Crowder, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene by coroner Leon Jones.

Two others were wounded by gunfire and taken to the Medical Center. A 19-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet on her back and a 20-year-old man was shot in the buttocks.

Macon police said they have made no arrests and ask anyone with information about the shootings to call police or Macon Crimestoppers.

Jones says the front door and the window were shot out and he saw spent bullet casings on Chambers Road.

The restaurant is located off Eisenhower Parkway, across Interstate 475 from Macon State College.
