Murder suspect Ashley De'Mus Brown turned himself in Tuesday morning and is being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
According to Veronica Brinson, a Brown family friend, the 19-year old was urged to give himself up by his grandmother.
Brown was wanted in connection with a shooting outside a southwest Macon Waffle House that left Christopher Crowder dead.
Macon Police indicated that Brown met with investigators before being booked on charges, including felony murder.
The Bibb Inmate Information website also lists charges of probation violation and aggravated assault.
