Crime

Police went to Matheson Drive in Macon just after 10:45 p.m. Wednesday night after getting called about a stabbing there.

Witnesses said it happened in the 3200 block of Matheson, off Napier Avenue.

According to a police news release, Michael Antwain Gray, 30, was arrested for stabbing his 29-year-old brother, Tavarus, after the two got in a fight.

Tavarus Gray was stabbed in the upper torso and taken to the Medical Center to have a surgery performed.

An update on his condition has not been made available at this time.

As he was being taken into custody, police say Michael Gray kicked and damaged the rear window of a MPD patrol car.

He has been taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with aggravated assault (family violence), Schedule 1 drug possession, and interfering with government property.

Earlier this morning, police dispatch said five units responded, along with medical personnel.
