Woman Shot, Dropped Near Gas Station | Crime
Bibb County investigators are investigating the reported shooting of a woman who was later dropped off near a gas station at the corner of Pio Nono and Houston Avenues.
Lt. Sean DeFoe of the Bibb sheriff's office says the woman was apparently shot in the county but dropped off at another location inside the city of Macon.
Steve Logan, who works at All Star Tire and Wheel next door was outside with a customer when he heard the woman on the ground crying for help. He says the woman then got up and walked towards the gas station where she fell again near a dumpster.
He says the woman appeared to have been shot in the shoulder and was severely bleeding down her back.
The victim told Logan she'd been shot by a man sitting in the back seat of a car where she was in the passenger seat and that she was then dropped off.
The customer, Joe Anderson, says he called police, who arrived within 5 to 10 minutes.
An employee of the Marathon Gas station says that was around 11:45 a.m. Thursday. Police were called and cleared the scene around noon.
So far, there is no word on her injuries.
