Early Morning Macon Fire Ruled Arson | Crime
Investigators are now looking into an early morning house fire from the 1200 block of Third Street in Macon.
The crews from the Macon-Bibb Fire Department were dispatched just before 4:00 Monday morning.
Capt. John W. Robinson, with the department confirmed there was a fire in the attic and roof of a house causing heavy smoke damage.
Robinson said the house had recently been vacated and investigators believe it was undergoing renovations.
Fire Investigator Sgt. Ben Gleaton told 13WMAZ that he was ruling the fire "incendiary" and asks anyone with information into the fire to call the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Gleaton said up to a $10,000 reward is being offered for the arrest on the person or persons responsible.
