Police: Man Steals Vehicle in WR, Wrecks It in Bibb Co. | Crime

Police say a man led them in a chase Wednesday evening in a Jeep Rubicon he stole in Warner Robins and then crashed it into a Bibb County business. 

The chase started when sheriff's deputies recognized the SUV as being stolen and started to follow it. That's when he took off, trying to avoid arrest. 

Officers told 13WMAZ the driver was pulled from the car, but his injuries did not appear life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital in Macon.

Police on the scene said any charges the man would face would likely come out of Warner Robins.

The seemingly vacant building is at the corner of Houston Avenue and Newberg Avenue.
