Macon Police Arrest Alleged Armed Robber Hiding Under House | Crime

MACON, GA -- A Macon police media release says officers arrested 23-year-old Givante Scott after responding to an armed robbery/home invasion on the 800 block of Bennell Street, off of Houston Avenue.

According to the release, an elderly woman called 911 when Scott, wearing a black clothing and a black ski mask, approached her and pushed her out of the way, making her fall.

Officers tracked Scott to an abandoned house on a nearby street. The release says they found him hiding under an abandoned house, also finding his mask and gun.

Scott was transported to the Bibb LEC and charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, cocaine possession with intent to distribute, possession of a weapon with an altered serial number, and a superior court probation violation.
