Macon Teen Wins Big on Jeopardy! Game Show
Families, Schools

Kelton Ellis, a student at Central High school in Macon, won $24,000 in the Jeopardy! Teen Tournament Wednesday night.

Back in October of 2012, 13WMAZ's Lorra Lynch Jones surprised Ellis with news that he'd be competing in the tournament.

He went to Los Angeles in November to tape the episode.  The teen traveled with his parents, and none of them were allowed to even hint at how the show turned out.

So Wednesday, as Candace Adorka spent the evening with Kelton and his friends, their surprise at his win was genuine.

Up next? The semi-finals, which Kelton said should air next Thursday.

In the meantime, Central Georgia will be represented again on Teen Jeopardy!.  Friday, Northside student William crouch takes the podium.
