Kids Go Fishing in the Children's Hospital | Health
Jonathan Herndon knows what it's like to spend time in a hospital when you're a child. The professional fisherman suffered a spinal cord injury at a young age. For the fourth year in a row, he's brought poles to kids.
Young anglers cast out into the Children's Hospital hallways. Instead of a hook and weights, kids used a clip on the end of their poles to snag giant fish pillows. Herndon signed the catch and left them to cuddle with the kids.
Herndon, who fishes with the Bass Pro Shops Catfish Tour, says it's important to bring smiles to the patients and let them know whatever illness they are fighting, they can still achieve their dreams.
Herndon also offers up a catfish package during the Children's Miracle auction this spring to help raise money for CMN.
