Photos, Photos Everywhere: Where are Your Pictures

One of the first steps any photo organizer will tell you to take when you want to organize your pictures is to gather your photos all together in one place.  Even I have said that a time or two. This step, however, may be still very overwhelming for you. To help get you started on this quest to find all of your printed pictures and your digital photos, I’ve brainstormed a couple of lists to help you get started.

Your Pictures Are Your Stories: Tell Them

What are pictures? Sure, they are images printed on paper or bits and bytes on your computer, but when all is said and done they are the stories of your life. They capture all the moments of your life - the first moments of your daughter’s life, your grandmother’s college friends, the pride on your husband’s face as he accepts a well-deserved award, what you had for lunch.

Macon-Bibb overwhelmingly asks for recycling services

Macon-Bibb County is ordering 3,400 more 65-gallon, rolling recycling cans to keep up with the overwhelming demand. They will take 4-6 weeks to deliver, and then the Solid Waste Department will put them together and begin delivering to the people that have requested one. To request a cart, people can log into SeeClickFix or call Customer Service at 751-7400.

“It’s been amazing how quickly people requested the first 1,700 cans, and it makes me proud the community is this excited to begin recycling,” says Solid Waste Director Kevin Barkley. “We’re going to get these new cans in and delivered as quickly as possible.”

Previously, the Department bought 1,700 to get the recycling program started, and it was hoped they would all be requested and delivered by May so more could be ordered. Between November 17 and January 8, more than 2,000 were asked for, and more requests continue to be made.

Even the most organized person can fall victim to a variety of organizing pitfalls. These are often mindsets that keep us from reaching our goals and making our lives a little easier. Here are three organizing pitfalls that I see a lot.

The Reality of Magazine Pictures

The Reality of Magazine Pictures

Browsing through home decorating and organizing magazine pictures or scrolling around Pinterest can give you inspiration or it can give you an inferiority complex.  I mean, really, how many people really keep their closet so perfectly color coded or their pantry stocked with all matching containers? I’m sure there are some people who live this way but for most of us, we are lucky if our clothes get hung up and the groceries disappear behind the pantry door.
