Central Looking to Turn Things Around in 2013

Under second year head coach Jesse Hicks, the Chargers are still looking for some respect.

In his inaugural season, Central went 2-8.

Hicks says despite the record he saw some benefit in his guys toughing it out through a tough 2012 campaign.  He says they grew up.

The Chargers played a lot of younger classmen. Those players have a year under their belt with Hicks and his philosophy's and he says you will see some new faces on the field as they tapped into different resources.

"We've acquired some guys some basketball players and some different guys in the school and I'm really encouraged by attitudes," Hicks said.  "We had some guys that didn't conform and didn't do the things we really needed them to do. They are not with us right now and I think that everything that is with us now is committed to the program!"

Central will not have an easy start, they open up against Westside.
