Northeast Wants a Deeper Playoff Run in 2013

The Northeast Raiders had a good season racking up at 8-3 record and making it to the first round of the AA playoffs.

They eventually lost to Fitzgerald.

Head Coach Bruce Mullen has had his kids lifting hard this summer.

Mullen says the challenge this year is keeping consistent.

The Raiders will open up against Twiggs in a little over three weeks.

Mullen says in order to get deeper into the playoffs he has to keep telling his guys the same message.

"We remind the players that no one just gave it to you once you become successful. People are going to be shooting for you, so we have to emphasize it everyday because people are gunning for you, Mullen said."

Middle linebacker Kentrell Curry went out about mid-season last year.  Mullen says he is excited to see him back in the lineup this year.
