Heritage Elementary Students Study Life Cycle with Ducks | News
Kindergarten classes at Heritage Elementary School have participated in learning about the life cycle this spring.
After making a request on DonorsChoose.Org for an incubator and duck eggs, teachers' request was granted by a woman named Laura from Tyrone, Ga., who has purchased the duck eggs listed on the website for the past five years in support of science education at Heritage.
"It's wonderful that year after year she generously supports our kindergarten program," said Heritage Assistant Principal Kristy Graham. "What a wonderful FACT - donors will continue to support classroom teachers and will return to give to your class multiple times if they are aware of the enjoyment and learning opportunity given to the students."
In appreciation, the students always write Laura a thank you note and send pictures of the students and ducks.
