Man's Body Found in Vacant Macon Home
News

The Bibb County coroner's office is trying to locate the family of a homeless man found in a vacant Macon building.

The body of 69-year-old Charles Skipper was found Friday morning in the building at 6th Street, between Poplar and Mulberry streets.

"This is a vacant building where homeless people live. It's very organized. they have desks, beds," said Bibb County coroner Leon Jones. "A gentleman that lives here found another gentleman unresponsive on the floor."

According to Jones, foul play is not suspected. He said Skipper "has an extensive medical history."

Jones says his department has had a hard time getting in touch with Skipper's next of kin.

Anyone with information on the next of kin can call the Bibb County Coroner's Office at (478) 621-6314.
