Mayor's meeting on Minor League Baseball in Macon | News
The Tic Toc Room in downtown Macon was the site of a special dinner party to see if a feasibility study on bringing minor league baseball back to Macon is necessary.
The party was invitation only, but a quorum of members from the Urban Development Authority were present, which made the meeting public. Macon Mayor Robert Reichert says he was inspired by how other cities, such as Greenville and Oklahoma City, have incorporated minor league baseball into revitalizing their downtown efforts. He says there is "a new energy here" and "sense of optimism here" in downtown Macon.
The design company Odell presented some of their completed projects, and CHA and Huntley partners was also apart of the presentation.
