Plea Hearing Rescheduled In Legal Secretary Killing | News
A plea hearing for murder suspects scheduled to appear in Bibb County court Thursday have been rescheduled.
The hearing was related to the case against Tracy Michelle Jones, Michael Brett Kelly, Courtney Nicole Kelly and Keith Anthony Dozier for the killing of Gail Spencer, a Macon legal secretary, in October 2012.
Due to an illness of one of the defense attorneys, the hearing will be rescheduled, according to a news release from Bibb County District Attorney David Cooke's office.
Last May, Cooke said he would seek the death penalty against Jones. At that time, co-defendant Michael Brett Kelly said he would plead guilty and agreed to take life without parole and testify against the other three.
However, in June, Kelly withdrew his guilty plea. Cooke said he will now face the death penalty.
It was unknown Wednesday exactly which defendants were scheduled to appear for the guilty plea hearing.
